what we're all about

life Groups

We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together.

At Northfield, our life groups usually consists of 8-12 people in various life stages who meet on a regular basis in someone's home. These groups are about establishing relationships that encourage us to grow spiritually, offer mercy towards one another in our time of need, and, as groups, be the hand of love in our community and the world around us.

Worship Ministry

The purpose of Northfield worship is to use music, visual arts, and song to provide an environment for people to glorify God and experience life transformation. Every week, our church comes together to enter into His presence through thanksgiving, praise and worship.

Our services are contemporary and the songs we sing come from worship groups like Hillsong, Gateway, Vertical Church Band, Bethel, to name several.

Accomplishing this requires a dedicated group of people who use their gifts and talents to serve God. We would love to have you get involved. If you play an instrument or sing, we invite you to consider joining our worship family. Also, our Tech Team is always looking for sound techs, camera techs, photographers, creative media, producers, and more. We would love to have you serve with us as we worship God through Worship, Arts, and Technology. If you are interested in being a part of our team, please contact us today!

homepointe family center

At Northfield, we believe that a strong family creates a strong church and thus, a strong community. In Psalm 25:4 it says, "Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths." With our HomePointe Center, you will receive simple yet proven paths and procedures on various ways to lead, pray, and become a God-centered family. Here are some of the steps that you can learn from:

- Northfield Church challenges every married couple to develop a date night habit in order to nuture intimacy and foster a shared vision for you relationship. Visit the HomePointe Center for more information on steps to rekindle and keep the spark with your spouse.

- One of the simplest and most effective ways to instill strong faith and values in your children is to eat together. Studies confirm that kids and teens that eat frequent meals with their parents do better in school and avoid risky behaviors such as drinking, drugs, and promiscuity. Visit the HomePointe Center for more information on unique ways to keep dinner fun and memorable.

- The Bible is your family's most reliable spiritual road map given by God to guide us. But it must become more than a symbol or a relic. It must become part of the everyday fabric of our lives. Visit the HomePointe Center for more information on how to keep God's word front and center with your family.

- Join others and create a movement of families who are making a new commitment to pray with and for their families. Visit the HomePointe Center for more information on ways you can pray for you family better.

HomePointe Appraisal

Underground youth

Underground is the name of Northfield's Youth Ministry. We serve students from 6th through 12th grade and train them to be influential young men and women of God.

Here at Underground, we believe in empowering students through passionate worship and relevant preaching. A place where students experience God, develop new relationships and build a strong foundation for their faith in an exciting environment.

Underdround Student Ministries meets every Sunday evening at 6:30pm, downstairs in the youth room. Our weekly service consists of fun games, worship, teaching of the Word, small group discussions, prayer and a fellowship time. In addition to our weekly services, Underground always has something going on - from retreats to Bible studies, fun events to missions trips.

Underground is a place for students to belong and thrive as they fulfill God's purpose for their life.

Children's ministry

Northfield's Children's Ministry was designed with your child in mind. The Family Center is our environment for children birth to 5th grade.

In everything we do, from rocking babies, leading preschoolers in song, or small groups with elementary children, we are intentional about teaching kids about our great big God! We want every child to know that God made them, God loves them, and that Jesus wants to be their friend forever! Our classroom experiences are designed to be interactive, purposeful, and most of all, fun!

As much as we value our Family Center, we also value your child. Therefore all of our volunteers have to pass a certified background check before teaching and working with the children. We support and grow our volunteers to lead with love at Northfield Church.

Missions and our global 4

We are passionate about showing you others Jesus. Whether it is in our own neighborhood or across the globe, we can tangibly express God’s love through our outreach projects and mission trips. Join us as we extend our mission beyond our walls and share the love of Jesus in our local and global community.

Local Missions

Our church desires to invest in local ministries and organizations that help fill the gap for people in need in our community. Our approach is to create opportunities for our church body to serve and share the love of Jesus.

Global 4

Did you know that 870 million people will not have enough food to eat for the day? How about this... An estimated 27 million people will wake up in slavery today. Have you heard this? 3.4 million will die this year due to lack of clean accessible water. And this next fact is staggering: 80% of the world's population will live off of less than $10 today. This is where we come in. The problems seems enormous, but we believe the solution could be even bigger! Our passion is to do all that we can to make sure that no one goes to bed hungry, people are freed, everyone has access to life giving water, and all have the ability to provide for their family. Together we can begin to tackle these issues and make our world a better place. Would you consider partnering with us as we do all we can to change our world? You could be the difference between life and death!
